Forms
Up to five questions in a Discord form before a ticket opens, and how to use the answers.
A form asks the member a few questions before the ticket opens. Your team starts with the facts instead of Hi, what is your in-game name?
#Set up a form
Turn on Enable form and add up to five questions. That is the Discord limit for one form.
- Form title. Up to 45 characters. Default: Open a ticket.
- Label. The question, up to 45 characters.
- Placeholder. Grey example text in the empty field, up to 100 characters.
- Required. The member cannot send the form without an answer.
- Long answer. A multi-line field instead of a single line.
- Minimum and maximum length. Up to 4,000 characters.
#Using the answers
- Show answers automatically. On by default. The bot adds an embed Form answers below the ticket message, one field per question.
- Variables.
{create.form.1}to{create.form.5}hold the answers in order. Use them in the ticket message or in channel names.
Example ticket message: {ticket.user} needs help with {create.form.1?ml=40}. Add ?clean if answers may contain backticks that would break your formatting.
Forms work with buttons and dropdown options. Command style tickets skip the form and use the reason after
$newinstead.
