Permissions
Channel permissions per group, separately for open and closed tickets.
The bot writes permission overwrites on every ticket channel. You decide them here for four groups, once for open tickets and once for closed ones.
| Group | Who | Default while open | Default while closed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Support team | Support roles from General | View, write, history, files, links, reactions, external emojis | Same as open |
| Ticket owner | The member who opened the ticket, and members added with $add | View, write, history, files, links, reactions | Cannot view, cannot write |
| Additional roles | Additional roles from General | View and read history, cannot write | Same as open |
| Everyone | @everyone | Cannot view | Cannot view |
Each permission has three states: allow, deny or neutral. Neutral means the channel inherits from the category and the member's roles.
#Permissions you can set
View channel, send messages, read message history, attach files, embed links, add reactions, use external emojis, use external stickers, mention everyone, manage messages, pin messages, manage channels, use application commands, send text-to-speech messages, send voice messages, create public threads, create private threads and send messages in threads.
#Common setups
- Owner can read but not write after closing. Closed, owner: allow View channel and Read message history, deny Send messages.
- Observers. Put the role into additional roles and keep Send messages denied.
- Screenshots only. Owner while open: allow Attach files, deny Embed links.
Keep View channel denied for
@everyone. Allowing it makes tickets visible to every member of the server.
Changes apply to tickets that open or change state after you save. Tickets that are already open keep their overwrites until they are closed or reopened.
