Thread style
Private threads instead of ticket channels, and what changes with them.
Premium. Thread style opens each ticket as a private thread in one channel instead of a new channel in a category. Threads do not count towards the 500-channel limit, which helps very busy servers.
#Settings
- Enable thread style. Turns tickets of this panel into threads.
- Parent channel. The text channel the threads are created in. Usually the channel with the panel message.
- Add the team automatically. Mentions the support roles in the new thread, which adds their members.
- Members may invite others. Off: only thread moderators can add people.
#What is different
- Access is per member, not per role. Use
$add @member. Roles cannot be added to a thread. - Category, channel permissions and channel names do not apply.
- Claiming and escalation are not available for thread tickets.
- Discord archives inactive threads after some time. Archived threads stay readable and come back when somebody writes.
The bot needs Create Private Threads, Send Messages in Threads and Manage Threads in the parent channel.
If the parent channel is deleted, tickets cannot open. Members then see a short message that asks the team to check the panel.
